At CCA we ‘choose to care’ about the quality of the
services we deliver to our customers. We are committed to delivering
high quality support, guidance, training, employment opportunities
and capacity building programmes to vulnerable and/or disadvantaged
individuals and groups in our community. The services we provide
reflect on a specific needs-led basis. We strive to increase knowledge,
education and self-empowerment of the individual in order that they
may maximise their potential so there is full inclusion in society
and we are able to further their economic and social position.
The
recent information presented by Greater Nottinghamshire Learning
Partnership (GNLP) highlighted that 67,000 adults in Nottinghamshire
lack basic skills in literacy, numeracy and have English as
a second language. At CCA our core aim is to develop the capacities
of the individuals/groups in our community. Within CCA we
have staff that have acquired training and accreditation as
basic skills assessors. We plan to deliver basic skills and
I.T. facilities to ensure that alongside basic skills training
we can promote the importance of information technology within
our community. By providing this much-needed service, CCA
believes it can enhance life skills, leading to:
Increased confidence
Greater motivation
Change of lifestyles
Developed listening skills
Improved spoken language and communication
Benefits of signposting to appropriate agency
Personal benefits for yourself and your family
In order to achieve this, CCA's Rebuild service
offers the following components:
Individual needs assessment
Support previous skills to be active in the labour market
Assist refugees to move closer to the labour market
Information, Computer and Technology training
Social integration particularly for refugee women
Sign posting & advice and guidance
Tailored training, job search and employability skills
