At CCA we ‘choose to care’ about the quality of the services we deliver to our customers. We are committed to delivering high quality support, guidance, training, employment opportunities and capacity building programmes to vulnerable and/or disadvantaged individuals and groups in our community. The services we provide reflect on a specific needs-led basis. We strive to increase knowledge, education and self-empowerment of the individual in order that they may maximise their potential so there is full inclusion in society and we are able to further their economic and social position.

"Fulfilling the Potential of the Community"

Since opening in September 2005 CCA's Learning Centre as aimed to increase the skills and empoyability of members of the community. We have extended this to offer tailored solutions to organisations, be they private or public, with our Interpreter Training programme in particular proving popular to both private organisations and members of the community.

Courses

Rebuild

Our Rebuild training incorporates ESOL and job skills to specifically help integrate refugees into the labour market. Some features include ICT training, information on Employment Law, social integration, signposting and advice & guidance. We currently have 17 students, but this figure is constantly increasing.

Interpreter Training

Our interpreter training programme is quickly turning into one of our most successful. After our first program started in November 2005, the amount of interest we received for the course has caused us to run a second course in tandem, which started in March 2006. The third course will be starting May/June 2006. So far, 8 students are awaiting accreditation, but this will soon rise over 30 once the second and third course are complete.
