Our Service
In 2003 CCA secured a contract with supporting
people to deliver support to Nottingham City Council housing
tenants who are vulnerable/disadvantaged including people
with mental health issues and learning disabilities.
We currently provide support to 27 individuals
and deliver a range of services that includes the following:
- Assistance with resettlement issues
- Welfare rights advice, DSS benefits and financial administration
(assisting with banking difficulties)
- We also assist with developing routines and structures
in order to maintain physical standards in the home and
we help with tenancy issues such as repairs or rent/council
tax arrears
- We encourage our service users to pursue learning, training,
education and employment opportunities
- We deliver life skills guidance and encourage service
user inclusion in local community-based initiatives, leisure/social
activities and offer networking opportunities
The housing support team now compromises a
dedicated group of employees: one team leader and three support
workers. It is hoped that in the forthcoming year we will
increase the client base and secure an even larger contract
with supporting people. |
