Students and Volunteering

One area in which we continually look for help in strengthening our organisation is volunteering. We feel they are a vital part of the day-to-day running of CCA, offering skills, assistance and plenty of enthusiasm. Currently we receive five students every year from the University of Nottingham. These are social work students that stay for 100-day periods and help with mental health clients, shadowing workers and helping with case loads. We have also previously received students from Derby University, Lincoln University and Hong Kong Polytechnic University. In 2010 we launched the Volunteering Project with the aim of continuing this tradition of volunteers enriching our work here at CCA. We currently have approximately 20 volunteers.
