Strategic Aims

Ten Steps to Twenty-Ten

In 2006 we devised a five-year strategy that would take us up to 2010. We agreed on ten steps that we felt were important for our continued growth:

  1. To develop financial sustainability and reduce reliance on government grants with 50% of income derived from contracts and trading by 2010.
  2. To develop influence such that CCA’s opinion is valued and sought as part of decision making at local and regional level.
  3. To develop excellence in all services/activities (frontline; advise sessions and support) demonstrated by 90% of client feedback being rated as good or above by 2010.
  4. To create new services that meet client needs and increase self development and improved quality of life with at least one new service per year.
  5. To develop existing services so they meet clients’ needs and improve self development and quality of life.
  6. To develop infrastructure to support expansion over 2006 – 2010.
  7. To develop collaboration to meet ever increasing need/demand. Focus on constructive; meaningful; sustainable collaboration with local, county level and regional agencies.
  8. To address environmental issues, encourage saving of energy; water; reduce waste, paper, transport etc.
  9. To achieve Quality Marks such as QAF; Matrix Excellence; ISO 14001, Kite Mark; Community Mark; & Legal Services Quality Mark.
  10. To develop human resources through `Skills for Life’ by providing continuous professional development; training opportunities to management team members; staff; volunteers and community members.
